Question: How does the number of attempts affect student grades?

Answer:

  1.  The number of attempts affects the scores in the Gradebook when students have obtained different scores across the attempts. You have an option to filter the scores and see results only from the first or last attempt, only the highest score or the average score from all attempts. For more information see our Support Article: Filtering and Sorting the Gradebook.
  2. The Summary score is the average from individual activities calculated separately for each filter (First/Last/Highest/Average).
  3. As a Teacher you can control the number of attempts per assigned activity or Test. To learn more see our support articles: Assigning Content (#6).
